Patricia A. Kohlenberg

Patricia A. Kohlenberg, age 64, of Dubuque, IA, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at her residence on Sunday, September 23, 2018, with her loving family by her side.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomington with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bloomington. Family and friends may call on Thursday, September 27, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.

She was born on July 2, 1954, in Prairie du Chien, WI, the daughter of James R. and Charlotte (Hermsen) Kluesner. Pat graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School and in 1972 she graduated from Bloomington High School. Pat furthered her education at Western Wisconsin Technical College in La Crosse, earning a degree in medical transcription.

She was employed with Grant County Land Conservation Office and the Commission on Aging, as well as Grant Regional Health Center, and Montessori Pre-School.

On July 31, 2009, she was united in marriage to Cal Kohlenberg.

Pat enjoyed going to garage sales and collecting antiques. She dearly loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving husband, Cal; her children: Jeremy (Sarah) and Jen (Forbes Van Altena) Wagner; step-children: Jared (Alex) and Brent (Lauren) Kohlenberg; grandchildren: Brandon, Cody, and Anna Wagner, Remi and Nora Kohlenberg; her siblings: Jim (Jeannie) Kluesner, Jr.; Karen (Joe) Gates; Tom (Marlene) Kluesner; Sally (Tom) Bennett; Linda (Rod) Kaufman; Mary (Rod) Neis; many nieces, nephews and her former husband, Tim Wagner.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, James and Charlotte Kluesner.

In lieu of plants and flowers, a Patricia A. Kohlenberg Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Bloomington is entrusted with her care.
