Senna Lucille (Gott) Ferguson, passed on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the age of 85.

Memorial Services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo, IA.

Senna was born to Jeanne (Ainsworth) and Harold “Scotty” Eugene Gott in Ottumwa, IA on July 27, 1941. Soon after Harold joined the Navy and Jeanne and Senna moved to Waterloo, IA. She remained in Waterloo until 1960 when she married and moved to New Jersey until divorcing and moving to Kansas City, MO in 1969.

Senna worked as an Ophthalmic Assistant until retiring in 2004. She married her husband and best friend, Edwin Andrew Ferguson, in 1987. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2012.

Many of her family passed before her, including her mom and dad; two brothers, Mike Gott and Bill Gott; her sister and brother-in-law, Sherill (Frank) Beckwith; and several close aunts, uncles, and very close friends.

She remained very close to Judy Gott, Andy Gott, Michelle (Nate) Becker, Liz Gott; close cousin, Ann (Steve) Schuler; two great-nieces, Grace and Genevieve Muldoon; and one great-nephew, Hunter Becker.

Senna had many good close friends. She belonged to a card club and crocheted baby things and donated them to Mercy Hospital. She enjoyed cooking and baking and sharing those goodies with lots of friends and neighbors. She was very blessed to have made so many close friends. Bye!

Memorials may be given in Senna’s name to the Dubuque Regional Humane Society.
