Terry L. Nollen, age 58, of Galena, IL, completed his earthly journey suddenly on September 23, 2026, at the Midwest Medical Center in the presence of his loving husband, Matthew Campbell-Nollen . To honor Terry’s life, a private family Celebration of Life is being held. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Terry’s family.

Terry was born on January 22, 1968, in Independence, IA, one of four children to Kenneth and Helen (Baker) Nollen. He met Matthew Campbell and they began their dreams together. Making stops in Cedar Rapids, Albuquerque, Las Vegas and Belle Plaine before finally settling in Galena in 2022. Among Terry’s greatest loves were his beloved dogs. More than pets, they were his fur-babies and cherished members of the family, holding a special place in his heart.

Terry was naturally gifted in the kitchen and found great joy in bringing people together through food. Family, friends, and loved ones will fondly remember the delicious meals, warm hospitality, and cherish gatherings he so lovingly hosted. When he wasn’t hosting parties for friends and neighbors at home, you could often find him helping Matthew with events at work. Terry enjoyed people in almost every aspect of his life. Making friends easily and being able to instinctually read a room were gifts he truly adapted easily to. When a little free-time made it into their lives, traveling was always on the top of Terry’s priority list whenever possible. All who knew and loved Terry are beyond heart-broken at the sudden and tragic loss of Terry from our daily lives today. We can hope to find healing in time, but for now simply pray for moments of peace to find their way into our most difficult days ahead. Thank you, Terry, for all of the wonderful memories you leave behind and may your legacy live on vividly within our hearts and minds moving forward until we meet again.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Michael Nollen.
