Barbara L. Lindecker, 82, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving children.

A private, immediate family burial will take place on Monday, November 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dubuque. Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd, is assisting the family.

Barbara was born on May 24, 1944, in Dubuque, the daughter of Leonard and Alice (Shaffer) Roscamp. She was a stay-at-home mom to her two children.

She was a selfless, strong, and independent person, always giving to her children and family. She was also a very strong and independent person. She enjoyed most digging in the dirt.

Barbara is survived by her two children, Julie Lindecker and Kenneth Lindecker; and her sister Sandy, all of Dubuque.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth on February 19, 2011; her parents; parents-in-law, George and Clara Schmitt; and a brother, Dennis.
