Beverly “Bev” A. Pitz, 78, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on September 9, 2026, at home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Jumper’s Sports Bar from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is assisting the family.

Beverly was born on January 9, 1948, in Cassville, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Cecelia (Breuer) Bierman. She graduated from Cassville High School. She married Thomas L. Pitz on February 12, 1966, in Dubuque and celebrated 59 years together before his passing in 2025. She worked at Klauer Manufacturing in Dubuque until her retirement in 2011. Bev loved riding the Harley with Tom, but above all else she loved her family and spending time together.

Beverly is survived by her son, Ricky (Diane) Pitz of Dubuque; daughters, Vicki (Mike Oberfoell) Blake of Dubuque and Angela (Al Sabers) Koppes of Sherrill; nine grandchildren, Jamee Pitz, Kelli Louis, Michael (Rachel) Blake, Jessica (Cody) Roush, Cameron Koppes, McKenna Koppes, Johnny (Grace Daack) Blake, Courtney Didesch, and Kiley Didesch; eight great-grandchildren; and lifelong friend, Marlene (Steve) Sauser.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; and her parents.
