Visitation will be from 9:15 AM until 10:15 AM, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Church of the Resurrection

The Mass of Christian Burial for Chris will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Church of the Resurrection with Father Michael Schueller as the Celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.

Christopher was born February 21, 1974, in Dubuque, the son of Charles Edwin and Marilyn Frances Scherbring Lewey.

He was a graduate of Hempstead High School and the University of Dubuque.

Christopher worked in sales and customer service.

He had a deep appreciation for art and architecture and especially enjoyed visiting art museums and exploring beautiful cathedrals. He was a Cleveland Indians fan and also enjoyed staying active and working out.

Survivors include his mother, Marilyn of Dubuque; two brothers, David (Tamara) Lewey of Lake City, MN and Thomas (Pamela) Lewey of Peosta; nieces and nephews, Lauren (Lorenza) Strother, Collin (Courtney Petersen) Lewey, and Hunter ( Madison) Lewey; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, one nephew, Brock Lewey, and his grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
