Marsha J. Chapman
Marsha J. “Joey” Chapman, 75, of Dubuque, died Monday, April 27, 2026, at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 10:45 am on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory.
The Funeral Service for Marsha will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory with Deacon Mike Timmerman officiating. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.
Marsha was born July 28, 1950, in Ottumwa, IA, the daughter of Richard G. and Barbara J. (Lynch) Wintermote. On January 24, 1970, she married Richard M. Chapman II in Dubuque, IA.
Marsha graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1969. She worked for Fisher Science for 10 years as well as doing housekeeping work, working at Oky Doky Foods, and was also a CNA.
In her younger years, Marsha found great joy in tending to her garden. She also had a spirited side and loved the excitement of gambling in all its forms, whether it was trying her luck at the casino or enjoying a lively game of bingo. She also cherished the simple pleasures in life, especially the time spent camping with her family. Above all, Marsha will be remembered for the unwavering love and care she gave to those she loved.
Survivors include husband, Richard of Dubuque; three children, Richard (Martina) Chapman, III of Davenport, IA, Corey (Melissa) Chapman of Indianola, IA, and Jessica (Jason) Cook of Dubuque; four grandchildren, Allison (Chris) Jump, Jarrett (Riley) Chapman, Mercades Cook, and Anna Chapman; five great-grandchildren, Jackson Jump, Jasmine Jump, Joanna Jump, Beau Chapman, and Paisley Pope; two sisters, Pam Mickelson of Dubuque, and Sandy (Jim) Griebel of New Liberty, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ron Wintermote, her in-laws, Richard and Jayne Chapman, a brother-in-law, Mike Chapman, and sister-in-law, Kelli Davis.
A memorial has been established.
