Rose Marie Davis, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2026, just three days shy of her 88th birthday.

Rose was born on September 16, 1938, to Leo and Ethel (Curtis) Motitor. She married the love of her life, Vernice “Vernie” Norman Davis, and together they raised four children: Norman, Denny, Howard and Tina.

Rose was a strong woman who faced many hardships throughout her life with determination, humor and more than a little feistiness. She had a big heart and deeply loved her family and those who became family along the way. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and her beloved kitties, and she treasured time spent with the people she loved.

Rose is survived by her sons, Norman (Michelle) Davis and Howard (Patty Blunt) Davis; her grandchildren, Katie Davis (Aaron Brokaw), Susan (Dale) Weber, Sara (Andrew) Schuler, Mike Netherty, Denny Davis Jr., Nicole Davis, Angelia (Donsha) McCoy, Amanda Hall, Shannon Davis, Spenser Davis, Ashley (Chris)Thompson, Jessica Harry (Brian Ralston), Brittany (John) Wachter, and Carissa Daniels; her many great grandchildren; and her brother, James “Jim” (Cenzi) Molitor of Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernice Davis; her son, Denny Davis; her daughter, Tina; her parents, Leo and Ethel Molitor; and her siblings, Leo Molitor, Joyce Schoenhardt, Floyd (Marlene) Molitor and Susan Brimeyer.

At Rose’s request, no formal services will be held. She will be remembered for her strength, her humor, her feisty spirit and the love she gave so freely to those around her.
