Scott Matthew Auderer, age 45, of Balltown, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

The Funeral Mass for Scott will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church – Balltown with Deacon Peter Binder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Scott was born on June 11, 1980, he grew up on the family farm in Balltown among the rolling hills and open fields that helped shape his lifelong love of the outdoors. He was an independent thinker with a quiet spirit and a kind heart, someone who valued solitude and found comfort in nature. He preferred open skies to crowded rooms and found meaning in working with his hands, fixing what was broken, and creating things that lasted.  He remains deeply loved and held close in the hearts of those who knew him. His presence is missed, and the memories of him will endure.

He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Shirley of Dubuque; his siblings, Russell (Shawna) Auderer of Sherrill, IA, Jenny Auderer Jaeger of West Des Moines, IA, Steve Auderer of Dubuque, Karla (Daniel Parvin) Auderer of Marion, IA, Shelly Troyer of Leander, TX, Clint (Jill) Auderer of Holy Cross, IA, Jill (Cory) Thiele of Waukee, IA, and Renee (Eric) Read of Appleton, WI; and many nieces and nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel.

A private family gathering will be held after the funeral as they grieve this unexpected loss. The family appreciates the support and understanding of all who knew him during this difficult time.
