Gregory E. Bradley
Gregory “Jeep” Edward Bradley of Dubuque, IA passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 surrounded by his loud and loving family after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer.
Jeep was born to Robert and Elsie (Koch) Bradley on May 19th, 1949. After he graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1967, Jeep enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1969 and worked his way up the ranks to a Sergeant Crew Chief where he worked as an aircraft mechanic. He was described by his superior officers as being “loyal and highly respectful to his subordinates as well as his superiors”. In addition, due to his firm support of the Equal Opportunity and Treatment Program, as well as his “excellent working knowledge of the OV-10A aircraft systems and operations, his Lieutenant Colonel noted “It is a distinct pleasure to have such an outstanding NCO in this squadron.” During his service, Jeep was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. After several years of active duty in the Vietnam War as well as serving in the Air Force Reserves, Jeep was Honorably Discharged from the United States Air Force in April of 1975.
In 1976, Jeep married Markleanne Dietz. They later divorced but continued to partner together in raising their daughter Coe (Michael) Hagen. Jeep was delighted to welcome his most recent grandchild, Anders, in 2021.
Jeep then met LuAnn (Noel) Bradley in 1999 and instantly realized he had found his north end soulmate. They married on 2/17/2004 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Despite having to take on three “hoochie mama” bonus daughters, the two were a match made in a pool hall. Brenda (Jeremy) Duvel, Kelly “Tunie” (Jeremy) Giesemann, and Julie Pfohl were elated to see their mama so happy. Jeep was later blissfully burdened by Brenda’s kids: Ryan (Courtney Westphal) Konrardy and Lizzy Konrardy, as well as Tunie’s kids: Alidia Mickelson, Kyrah Pfohl, and Knox Giesemann.
Jeep enjoyed life at every moment. One of his favorite activities was showing off his golf skills, which Coe inherited, but unfortunately his son-in-laws did not. He played often at the Galena Golf Course where he maintained a membership. He also liked to play pool (billiards) and was a great shot…just ask him. Anyone who knows Jeep knows that he and LuAnn loved to go on their various tropical vacations where he loved to take naps by the beach. When they couldn’t get out of the States, he was busy yelling “fire in the hole” while making his famous margaritas at Lake Joy. It was through his love of his MG Midget that he joined the Tri-State British Sports Car Owners. Jeep spent many years selling all of his favorite trinkets for Landmark Novelties, Inc. The one thing that Jeep would want everyone to know is that he enjoyed these hobbies, but it was the lifelong friends that he gained that meant the most to him.
Jeep loved telling stories (multiple times), telling every grandkid they’re his favorite when the other ones weren’t around, and watching Westerns and “Shoot ‘em Up, Bloody Guts” movies. Above all; however, he truly cherished taking rides all over the tri-state area with the love of his life, LuAnn, in their 1976 MG Midget.
In addition to his awesome family, other people left to carry on his memories are his brother Bob (Bette) Bradley and his sister, Jan (Robert) Reuskens. He also left behind his favorite brother-in-law, Kevin Noel and his other favorite brother-in-law, Mark (Jill) Noel.
Jeep was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Gericke.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all of the wonderful healthcare professionals at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Iowa City, as well as those with Hospice of Dubuque for managing the care of Jeep and the support they provided for LuAnn.
A Fiesta de la Vida (a party of life) will take place at Stone Cliff Winery on Sunday, March 3rd from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. A short Military service to commemorate Jeep’s service and dedication to our country will begin promptly at 1:00 pm behind the Stone Cliff Winery building by the American Legion Post #6. Immediately following, friends and family are invited to join for appetizers and a toast to Jeep. You are encouraged to wear your favorite tropical attire to honor Jeep’s love of fun in the sun.
The family is grateful for Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory’s help in coordinating all of these arrangements.

Diana K. Henry
Diana K. Henry, a cherished wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024, in Maquoketa, Iowa, at the age of 89.
Diana Kay Henry born on September 21, 1934, in Jackson County, Iowa to Dean and Golda (Rockwell) Gilmore. She attended Maquoketa High School, graduating in the class of 1952, and soon after, her life took a romantic turn when she married the love of her life, Lowell Henry, on October 19, 1955, in the picturesque setting of Niagara Falls, New York. Together, they welcomed their son Tony, who became a treasured addition to their family.
Professionally, Diana was known for her meticulous work and warm presence at Jackson State Bank in Maquoketa, where she served as a teller for five years. Before color film was commonplace, Diana’s expertise in applying transparent oils to black and white images brought photographs to life, earning her numerous awards for her exceptional craftsmanship.
Diana had also been a member of the Photographers Association of Iowa, where she connected with fellow photographers and shared her passion for the art. Her interests, however, extended well beyond the lens. Diana found joy in the simple pleasures of life: her love of dogs who were an important part of their family, walking, tending to her garden, and beautiful flowers, losing herself in the pages of a good book, and traveling to explore old plantations and the rich history they held.
Diana’s is survived by her devoted husband, Lowell Henry of Maquoketa, Iowa; her brothers, Larry (Lorraine) Gilmore of Maquoketa, IA, John (Alice) Gilmore of Maquoketa, IA, and Tom (Mary) Gilmore of Maquoketa, IA; a sister-in-law, Donna (Alden) Browne of Altoona, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joan V. Heraver
Joan V. Heraver, age 93, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Waukegan, IL, completed her earthly journey on February 25, 2024, at the Luther Manor Grand Meadows in Asbury, IA. To honor Joan’s life, a private family service is being held at a later date. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Joan’s family.
Joan was born on April 25, 1930, in Chicago, IL, a daughter to Frank and Sophie (Pocica) Michaelski. Being one of ten children, Joan learned quickly that life is not solely about ourselves, but rather the role we play within the lives of others as well. Joan eventually met and married the love of her life, Frank Heraver, on October 29, 1949. They were blessed with 74 wonderful years together, and two children of their own before Frank was sadly called home ahead of her on November 19, 2023. Joan was a devoted wife and mother who found great pride not only in her Polish heritage, but also being given the opportunity to raise and nurture her family with the values of a strong ethic combined with the stamina to face each and every challenge that presented itself along life’s journey. While the boys were young, Joan did take on a little typing work at home to keep her skills polished, and when they were grown she eagerly ventured out into the working world as a secretary, eventually retiring from the Ann P. Kiley development center in Waukegan, IL.
In her free-time, Joan could easily be found out tending to her beautifully abundant flower gardens. As commonly accepted knowledge, a good gardener is considered to be the physical manifestation of a good mother at heart, and Joan’s talent was second to none. Her ability to bring forth the prosperous growth of every plant and flower in her care was undeniable and she faithfully went on to volunteer her time at talents at the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens in her later years. Joan also had a soft spot for animals of all sorts. The birds, squirrels, and even the inevitable stray cats were all well fed and cared for as if they were as loved as household family pet. Her heart thrived on watching over and caring for all of God’s creations presented before her, whether man or animal, Joan was always ready to serve. But, truth be told, Joan discovered her greatest joy in life when her grandchildren came into her life. This new and magical dynamic fit perfectly within her nature and Andrew and Becky were truly blessed to have been entrusted to such a loving and tenderhearted Grandma. It’s beyond difficult to imagine living in a world without Frank and Joan leading the way moving forward, but we do appreciate and understand that none of us can escape the grip of time in the end and thankfully we can find great peace in knowing that the Lord chose to place us in Joan’s care along the way. Thank you, Joan, for living as you spoke, loving as you led, and for always bringing your very best to each day for all who knew and loved you to enjoy. May the Lord bless and keep you safe in His grace-filled arms until we all meet again.
Those left behind to cherish the memory of Joan include,
her two adored sons,
Charles (Lisa) Heraver, Gurnee, IL,
and Robert “Bob” (Sharon) Heraver, Antioch, IL;
her grandson,
Andrew Heraver, Gurnee, IL
along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbors.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Frank (Sophie) Michaelski; her granddaughter, Becky Heraver; and her siblings, Anna (Al) Kaczmaryn, Florence (James) Falatico, Celia (Matt) Zaleck, Alich (Chuck) Hall, Phyllis (Casper) Teser, Lucille (Jack) Dutton, Lottie (Arnie) Peterson, Frank Michaelski in WWII, and Rita (Bob) Guerin, Sr.

Robert J. Hall
Robert James “Bob” Hall, age 74, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on February 28, 2024, at Stonehill Care Center, while surrounded by his loving family. To honor Bob’s life, a private family service will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Bob’s family.
Bob was born on March 26, 1949, in Dubuque, IA, a son to Kenneth James and Virginia Ursula (Casey) Hall. He honorably spent his years devoting his time and talents to his work and home life and waited patiently for his beloved grandchildren to arrive in his life so he could joyfully fulfill his long-awaited role of Grandpa perfectly. Bob spent his working career with Copy Systems and eventually retired as manager in 2018 after years of working his way up the ranks through the sales and service departments. He made countless friends along the way and even took time to stop back and visit from time to time even into retirement.
Bob treasured his time away from work as well. Anyone who has ever participated in the Annual Dragon Boat Races will know Bob quite well. Undeniably one of his favorite events of the year and he was always willing to jump in and help support any team he could. Bob also enjoyed working on his cars and spent immeasurable hours restoring them until his vision had been realized. The only time he enjoyed more when the time he was able to spend driving them around and savoring the fruits of his labors. But, truth be told, Bob’s grandchildren were his pride and joy. He delighted in watching the boys grow each year as they cut his lawn and always looked forward to the weekly visits on the porch after the work was complete. Bob also made it a priority in his life to set aside extra time for his special date nights with Harlee. Playing the role of Grandpa was his greatest accomplishment and in the end, Bob understood that every moment they were by his side it became clearly evident in their hearts and minds that he truly loved and adored them. We are going to miss our dear Bob more than words could possibly depict and we are grateful today for every single memory he has left behind for us to embrace. Thank you, Bob, for always being the best man you could be, for reminding us that there is always time to take a moment to treat ourselves to a little ice cream, and may the Lord grant you peace now from your earthly battles as we await our eternal reunion with you and your gentle soul.
Those left behind to cherish the memory of Bob’s include,
his two sons,
Robert (Maria) Hall, Peosta, IA,
and Randall (April) Hall, Dubuque, IA;
his three adored grandchildren,

his brother,
Kenneth (Mary Ann) Hall, Moline, IL;
his ex-wife and special friend,
